Dual branding
My first graphic design job after university was at Hotel Online Marketing in Sydney. The company was actually two-in-one, one side offering marketing services to hotels and the other producing in-house hotel booking websites. The brief in this case was to design a brand which worked across both sides of the business, two sides to one coin.
The design solution was a monotone logo where the common word “online” was used to house a cursor device. Inverting colours between the two sub-businesses allowed for clear delineation between the two whilst cleverly continuing a through line. The logos were used across double-sided business cards, websites, direct mail and email marketing.
I was engaged as the sole designer for the project.
